Anshuman is an attorney, registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa (India), with expertise in corporate law, contractual law, property law, banking law and international trade law. A law graduate from the National University of Juridical Sciences (Kolkata), a prestigious law school in India, he worked as a Senior Associate in the Banking & Finance team of Luthra & Luthra Law Offices – a leading law firm in India. During his stint at the law firm, he was actively involved in advising domestic and foreign clients in the areas of project finance, structured finance, corporate finance, debt restructuring, external commercial borrowings and banking regulations. He has represented both lenders and borrowers in financing transactions and has extensive experience in sectors spanning education, manufacturing, power, renewable energy (wind and solar power), airport, hotels, telecommunications, aviation and technology services. An astute learner with high analytical skills, he has received international recognition as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ in the Banking & Finance practice area by Legal500 in its Guide to Law Firms (2017 India Edition). He briefly worked as independent legal consultant before realizing his entrepreneurial potential by working under the direct mentorship of Mr. Taraprasad Mishra.

At Lampros Energy, Anshuman heads the Legal & Compliance division. In addition to due diligence and documentation functions, his role in the Company extends to offering critical input on transaction structuring and risk management. He also takes a keen interest in the emerging market for petrochemical products and is actively engaged in developing and expanding the Company’s sourcing network in the Middle East.
